Most Jews did not like the Roman Rule. Instead of having another Jewish king like they usually would, A Roman governor called a Procurator rules the new province. The Jews were soon arguing among themselves about what to do. Some favored working with the Romans, while others didn't. Others turned their backs on the Romans. They began settling in isolated areas and shared their belongings with each other.

In them, Jesus made it very clear that a person had to love and forgive from the heart and not just go through the motions and traditions of religious laws. " Jesus then told His listeners to love and forgive each other, just as God loves and forgives all people. Jesus was celebrating Passover with his disciples. (This is known as the Last Supper and Maundy Thursday.) He took the bread and said,"this is my body which is broken for you, do this in remembrance of me." After the meal he took the cup of wine and said," this my blood which is shed for you, do this in remembrance of me." He told his disciples that one of them would betray him. Judas was the one and betrayed him for 30 pieces of silver. Jesus told Simon Peter that he would deny him 3 times before rooster crowed. After they left the Upper Room, Jesus, Peter, James and John went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. While in Gethsemane, Jesus was arrested. Judas knew he was going to betray Jesus, but did not know his fate. Judas hung himself. Jesus was taken to Pilate and tried for treason. The people got to decide between Jesus or Barabus, guilty of murder. The people chose Barabus and said to crucify Jesus. Jesus was mocked and had a crown of thrones placed on his head. He was on the cross at a place called Golgotha. (Meaning Skull) After six hours, Jesus breathed his last. After he died, darkness spread over the land. Jesus was buried in one of Joseph`s tombs. Peter and Paul were the two people that spread the word of Christianity after Jesus ascended to Heaven. Peter Jesus`s right hand man. Before, he was a fisherman. Peter started a church in Rome. Today the Pope lives there. Paul has a story. Before he was known as Saul. He was not a Christian. One day, he was going to Damascus. On the way there, he had a vision of Jesus. Saul became blind. He was wondering around aimlessly. One day Jesus restored his sight. Saul converted and change his name to Paul. He spent the rest of his life preaching the gospel.
